Sweet Party Printables!

I am very excited to introduce the Sweet Party Printables line! I originally wanted to start this line in November of last year after creating items for Ava's 1st birthday, but at the time I was still working a full time job and just couldn't find enough time! After designing her party items this year, I decided this is something that I definitely wanted to start doing!

The printable invitation listing will include an 5x7 invite with a bonus 4x6 folding thank you note card. Matching printable party circles will also be listed including bonus matching cupcake wrappers!

I will hopefully be debuting new designs weekly and would love to take some custom requests! Additional matching items including birthday banners, high chair banners, food tent cards and more are available too! These kits are simple...you just need a few basic items: a printer, some scissors or a paper cutter, some glue or double sided tape, your favorite 2" round or scalloped punch and lollipop sticks! Print, Prepare & Party!

I first started working with the wonderful and talented Julie of Cakes And Kids in March of 2010. Recently I had the pleasure of working with her to create a new branding, Blogger design, Etsy shop design & website for her fabulous business. I had tremendous fun working on this design for Julie and love the way it turned out!

I've also made some purchases from her lovely shop and can say that her cupcake toppers are beautiful! She packages them very professionally and beautifully! I almost didn't want to open the little jars of sprinkles and cupcake liners!

If you haven't checked her shop out before, please do so now! Finally getting settled back in at home after our short mini vacation! It's amazing how tired you can still be a week after a long trip. We celebrated Ava's 2nd birthday, she had a blast at the Yo Gabba Gabba concert, we went to New York with some great friends (a long 14 hour drive with two 2 year olds who did surprisingly good), came back home on Halloween and went back out Trick-or-Treating. Busy Busy Busy! :)

I've decided to change up my design yet again...this time with bright buntings & a very lovely grey chevron and damask. I think I may just stick with this design for a while... October is always a busy month for me that it seems to disappear without me even noticing...! It's the month my husband takes his vacation (usually always the week before Halloween), Ava's birthday (more and hopefully final shopping tomorrow for it), and it tends to be the month when I take it slower for the season...I'm moving like a turtle here, I know! :). Ava has the Yo Gabba Gabba Concert on the 26th and then we will be traveling to New York with some great friends at the end of this month so the shop will be closed for a little bit starting on the 26th until the 1st of November. Great busy times ahead! :)

I've had many requests for winter and holiday shop sets, so today's update will feature some of those! :) I also have a few new blog designs & complete matching etsy sets too, hopefully I can get around and get those listed too!

Hi hello hi! Sorry for the lack of updates! I've been swamped with custom requests up the wazoo! While good for me, no updates for you! I'm finally getting up caught up on the first round! I have a few more custom orders to start on & then it will be time for a little break from custom work so I can focus on a party...

Next month is my daughter's 2nd birthday. I hope to be able to start working on her party items pretty soon. She fell love with Elmo earlier this summer so we will for sure be having a "MoMo" party. I've already purchased her tutu set for this and now I will be party brainstorming for the actual party & props!

So why am I typing all this with heart suckers & candies beside it? It's a little clipart freebie just for you! :) Six yummy lollipops & matching sweet heart candies! They match a clipart set I'm working on & should be able to list at the store soon.

Today's freebie printable is...cute, bright & adorable BOOK PLATES! These are great for 'share-days' at school when kids take their favorite books to school & so friends remember to return your books! ;) Click on the image to download and print at home!

Here's the scoop on how to do this: Print off the design on paper and use rubber cement to affix or print these book plates on a full sheet of labels. Print, trim & place inside your book!

Wow! I'm slacking again on this blog thing! We have been enjoying the nice weather here! Staying busy outdoors/ away from the house on the weekends. Our family has grown by 2 more since Sunday..2 turtles that is. Ava's grandma purchased her 2 little turtles from the flea market. So we have got their little tank set up and Ava calls them "tucks"! :) I never thought we would have turtles, they are cute and as my husband says they seem alot more durable than fish.

I've also started thinking about Ava's birthday theme this year. Last year we went with the ever so popular Look Whooo's 1 theme. I think this year we will go Yo Gabba Gabba since she will be going to her first ever concert to Yo Gabba Gabba this year! We were shocked when they released the tour dates, and when we saw that the closest place was Columbia, SC and that it is taking place on her actual birthday (10/26) we knew we had to get them for her! :) Even better,,,we will be in the second row!

So now the search begins for her outfit! I found this 3 piece Foofa Set so far its the best I've found. I'm not sure if I want to do a Tutu set but it would be so cute to see her bouncing at the concert in a girly tutu. If any of you know where to find Yo Gabba Gabba inspired boutique clothing, let me know! :)

I was on facebook today, and I happened across a post shared by another user about a giveaway. I clicked on and was taken to a blog...because of the new rules of facebook giveaways. First, I was surprised by the blog template and the BIGGEST surprise is that it was another graphic artist who stole my blog template. I'm not sure if someone who has purchased a template from me has shared the code with her, but the entire code was the same as my code design, she only changed the colors and of course the graphics. She even left the same copyright message at the bottom too, only changed that the Blog and Graphic Design is copyrighted to her!

WOW! She has been around longer than I, but SHAME SHAME SHAME! Usually I don't point fingers, because this happens alot, but this is the first time someone of such success has done this and now I am speechless!

busy busy busy and Ava-Land!

I cannot believe my last blog post was April 12th! Life has been very busy this past month! With the beautiful weather we are having, our April/May mission was to complete "Ava-Land". We checked into getting our backyard fenced in and found a really really great price. After a few weeks of rainy weather, we finally got the fence installed. They did the measurements incorrectly though... we found this out only after we relocated a Sweet Tea Olive bush. But it did survive the move. Sorry for the bad photos, these are taken by the lovely cell phone.

And yes that is our small weeping willow tree. We planted it after we purchased the house in 2008. It is VERY close to the fence. I've heard mixed reviews about moving them so I doubt we will. The same day the fence was completed, we had a hail storm and there was no warning of this. It lasted a good 10 minutes. When we returned home, Ava's slide had been destoryed.

She had never climbed up this by herself, she always needed help to climb the climber part. But of course once it's broken and she can't slide, that's when she decided she could climb it herself! lol. Anywho, we had purchased this climber from Craigslist for $45 so it wasn't that big of a loss. Which brings me to my other topic... Craigslist! We started searching for items for Ava-Land in April and alot of the items we found were in great condition, a little faded/some stickers missing but awesome for the yard.

These are the pictures after the hail-storm and after the brand new purchase of her Step 2 climber. Besides the new climber, all the other items were purchased from Craigslist. The Little Tykes Pink Cottage, we got for $45, the Step 2 Storybook Cottage for $40 and her hot pink Little Tykes Cozy Coupe with Gaspump for $35. The Cozy Coupe was missing the key and stickers, but we purchased replacements from Little Tikes! Ava-Land is now complete, my husband has banned me from Craigslist!

Sorry for the long post, I have been dying to start blogging! I just need to find the time, wish me lots of luck! Thanks Yuri for the encouragment and tips! :)
